Two best friends who only have one thing in common, the summer trip they take together every year...until their last trip to Croatia...

Poppy and Alex have been best friends since their freshman year of college. As far apart as life has taken them, Alex being a teacher in their small home town that Poppy despises and Poppy following her dreams as a travel writer in New York, they still come together every summer for a week long vacation. Twelve years and ten vacations...because ever since the disaster-that-was-bound-to-happen in Croatia, they haven't even spoken. In New York, Poppy has everything she could ever want, her dream job, great friends, and free trips, but she's been missing something ever since she lost Alex. With one last shot and her first trip in a while on her own dime, Poppy some how convinces Alex to go on one more trip. Low budget, just like back in college, because this one has to remind him of how much fun they used to have, this one has to fix everything. These two best friends are going to have to face the truths they have been desperately avoiding because let's be honest, there's no going back to how it used to be.

"Like a good book or an incredible outfit, being on vacation transports you into another version of yourself."

People We Meet on Vacation in a simultaneously funny and hot read that will bring summer to whatever season you read it in. Alex and Poppy are amazing and hilarious characters that brighten each other and create the perfect pair. Through their past adventures, readers will fall in love with these shockingly deep characters and be left wanting more. This was by far one of my favorite reads of the summer and after reading Beach Read as well, I will instantly buy the next book Emily Henry writes. Beth O'Leary says People We Meet on Vacation is a, "slow-burn romance" and I couldn't agree more. Everything you should have expected hits at the most shocking moments. If you are anything like me, you'll have marked the best parts in this book to revisit when you need a getaway. A sweet and sensual last chance love story if only they can make it work.
